What this is
Tartan Ryder is a private companion app for annual golf outings. It tracks the running sheet of who’s up and who’s down across the round, runs group competitions for friendly side games (closest to the pin, longest drive, skins, low-net, and the like), seeds a match-play bracket from group results, and runs a Ryder-Cup-style team competition across the outing.
Who runs it
Calverda LLC, a New York limited liability company. The roster of any given event is invitation-only and managed by that event’s organizer. Calverda LLC operates the platform; organizers run their own events on top of it.
What we collect
Your name, mobile number, handicap, sheet entries, and group competition entries. Phone numbers are used to send the one-time sign-in code and notifications about your sheet and your side challenges. Nothing is shared outside the outing. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Money
No real money moves through the app. The sheet is a record of informal tallies between participants; settlement happens off-app, in person, the way it always has. We don’t hold funds, we don’t process payments, and we don’t act as a stakeholder.
SMS
We use SMS for one-time sign-in codes and transactional event notifications — never marketing. You can reply STOP at any time to stop messages, or HELP for a short reply with our contact info. For full detail, see the SMS Disclosure.
